Graduates of 2020

Youth Ballet is proud to present the graduating class of 2020.

As I prepare for graduation and reminisce on all of the memories I have made in the past 17 years I am fulfilled with the experiences I have achieved. An immense part of my life has been my life as a dancer here at Youth Ballet. I am so thankful for my years spent here. I have some incredible memories including unforgettable dances, special moments with friends and fun costumes I was able to wear. As well, I am very thankful for the teachers who have taught me all that I know regarding dance. I would like to thank, Michelle, Glen, Claire, Armando and Caitlin. Finally, I don’t know what I am going to do next year without coming to dance every night. It’s going to be a huge change however I am very grateful for the experiences I have obtained here. Thank you, Ava.

Although I’ve had a different experience at Youth Ballet than the other graduates, I have always been thankful for the tremendous support that the faculty and community of Youth Ballet has given me. Youth Ballet is the place where I was introduced to the art form that has changed my life. I’d like to give a special thanks to Glen, Michelle, and Brenda; who have supported me since I was a toddler. I’d also like to thank everyone who contributes to make Youth Ballet the rich learning environment it is today.

I was six years old when I started at Youth Ballet. I began in ballet and later RAD and modern. I have learned so much during these wonderful years. Participating in the company and summer intensive program for two years has really helped me to push myself and chase my dreams. The feeling of performing on stage is truly amazing. Youth Ballet has helped me not only grow as a dancer, but as a person. The experience taught me lessons in teamwork, time management, determination, and confidence. I have met so many wonderful people at the studio and always felt at home when walking through the doors. I would like to thank my teachers and parents for supporting me through this journey and providing me with rewarding opportunities. I have made countless memories over the past eleven years at the studio that will stay with me forever.

Thank you to all the instructors, choreographers, staff members, and fellow students that have made my time at Youth Ballet so great. I know that a lot of people say “dance is how they express themselves” but it truly is for me. I have been dancing since I was four and could not image my life without dance. It has made me who I am today. I have really enjoyed my time at Youth Ballet, and all of the opportunities to perform, especially in Company. I also have had the pleasure of assisting classes for the past couple of years, and it is the most rewarding experience. I will always look back at Youth Ballet with fond memories, and am excited to see where dance takes me in the future.

Over the years, the countless hours I have spent at youth ballet have truly made it my second home. I have made so many incredible memories here that I will carry with me forever. Dancing has been the one activity that I have maintained throughout the majority of my life and I am so grateful for the opportunities and experiences it has given me. I have had so many amazing, hardworking and trustworthy teachers over the years and could not thank them enough for everything they’ve taught me. I have also met some of my best friends here and coming to the studio was no doubt the best part of my day. I am so grateful to have been a part of such a joyful, supportive and encouraging community. Although I will miss being a part of the company, assisting, and taking class, I am excited to move on to my next journey knowing that dance will forever be a part of me.
