Carleigh Macdonald began dancing at Youth Ballet at the age of 5, and continues to dance. Carleigh was a member of the Youth Ballet Company of Saskatchewan for over 7 years, where she toured rural Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, and performed with Cite Ballet in Edmonton. In 2013, Carleigh had the pleasure of attending the Aberdeen International Youth Festival in Scotland, with 12 other Youth Ballet Company dancers. Carleigh has studied ballet, modern, jazz, voice work, and flamenco, while having the opportunity to work with world-renowned teachers and choreographers. After graduating from the school, she has worked professionally with local artists including Connie Moker Wernikowski, Johanna Bundon, and Karen Rose. She has performed in NDHs Stream of Dance Festival, the Globe Theatres Sandbbox Series, as a part of Shakespeare on the Saskatchewans For the Love of Dance, as well as the University of Regina and the Conservatorys Music and Dance Project. Carleigh has been an instructor at Youth Ballet for four years, and continues to work as an independent dance artist.
