Dress Code
We invite all dancers to choose the dress code option that is most authentic for them. Costumes will be ordered in accordance to dancer's choice.
For Grades Intermediate Foundation and up, please contact the office.
Pre-School Dance 1 & 2
Option 1
Traditionally Feminine Wear
Pale pink sleeveless tank leotard. No tights, no tutus. Long hair in ponytail.
Option 2
Traditionally Masculine Wear
Plain white T-shirt, plain black shorts.
Pre-Ballet 1, Pre-Ballet 2, Primary Ballet
Option 1
Traditionally Feminine Wear
Pale pink sleeveless leotard, Mondor Ballerina Pink (Color E6) tights, pale pink leather ballet slippers with elastics. No Tutus or ballet dresses. Hair must be worn in a bun.
Option 2
Traditionally Masculine Wear
Plain white T-shirt, plain black shorts or tights, black ballet slippers with elastics.
Ballet 1/2/3/4/5
Option 1
Traditionally Feminine Wear
Navy blue sleeveless, pinch front leotard, (Mondor style #3546), Mondor Ballerina Pink (Color E6) tights, pale pink leather ballet slippers with elastics (full sole or split sole are acceptable). Hair must be worn in a bun. Black wrap skirt optional for Ballet 5. RAD students require character shoes.
Option 2
Traditionally Masculine Wear
Plain white T-shirt, plain black shorts or black tights, black ballet slippers with elastics. For RAD, speak with instructor.
Ballet Intermediate, Advanced
Option 1
Traditionally Feminine Wear
Black sleeveless (scoop neck or pinch) leotard, Mondor Ballerina Pink (Color E6) tights, pale pink ballet slippers. Optional short black wrap skirt and ballet sweater. Pink pointe shoes with ribbons as directed by instructor. Proper attire for RAD will be determined later in the year. Hair must be worn in a bun.
Option 2
Traditionally Masculine Wear
Plain white T-shirt, plain black shorts or black tights, black ballet slippers with elastics. For RAD, speak with instructor.
Ballet Post-Secondary, Adult
Option 1
Traditionally Feminine Wear
Any style or colour leotard, pink tights, pale pink ballet slippers. Simple ballet skirts or cover-ups may be worn. Hair must be worn in a bun.
Option 2
Traditionally Masculine Wear
Black tights or shorts, plain white T-shirt, white or black ballet slippers with elastics.

Traditionally Feminine Wear
Body Suit or T-shirt and shorts/leggings, footwear that fits the dancer’s specific needs.
Option 2
Traditionally Masculine Wear

Hip Hop, All Levels
Option 1
Traditionally Feminine Wear
Clean, indoor white runners/sneakers, loose fitting t-shirt or tank top, loose fitting shorts, capris or pants. No jeans or crop tops.
Option 2
Traditionally Masculine Wear
Clean, indoor white runners/sneakers, loose fitting t-shirt or tank top, loose fitting shorts or pants. No jeans or crop tops.
Jazz, All Levels
Option 1
Traditionally Feminine Wear
Leotard (any style or color), tights (black, tan or pink), and black jazz oxfords with split soles. Fitted tops, shorts or fitted leggings can be worn over top. Hair must be off the face. Only solid colors: no patterns or designs. No crop tops.
Option 2
Traditionally Masculine Wear
T-shirt, shorts, tights or workout pants, black jazz oxfords with split soles.
Modern Primary through 6
Option 1
Traditionally Feminine Wear
Leotard (any style or color), footless tights (black, tan or pink), barefoot. Shorts can be worn over top of tights and leotard. Hair must be off the face.
Option 2
Traditionally Masculine Wear
T-shirt, knee-length shorts, tights or workout pants, barefoot
Modern Intermediate Foundation, Advanced, Post-Secondary, Adult
Option 1
Traditionally Feminine Wear
Fitted leggings and fitted tops. Please wear tights under loose shorts. Only solid colors: no patterns or designs. No crop tops. Will work barefoot.
Option 2
Traditionally Masculine Wear
T-shirt, knee-length shorts, tights or workout pants, barefoot
RAD Ballet Exams
Option 1
Traditionally Feminine Wear
