Introduction to Creative Dance

Ages 7+

This class offers an engaging introduction to the world of creative and modern dance for children aged 7 and up. Designed for students newer to dance or exploring beyond traditional styles, Introduction to Creative Dance helps young movers discover how to use their bodies to express ideas, emotions, and stories through movement.

Through guided improvisation, modern dance foundations, and playful choreography, dancers will build strength, flexibility, coordination, and artistic confidence. The class explores a wide range of movement qualities, from fluid to sharp, light to grounded, helping students develop their own movement voice.

Whether taken on its own or alongside other dance styles, this class is a fun and supportive way to explore the expressive possibilities of dance and build a solid base for future training in modern or contemporary dance.
